Orbeck of Vinheim is a Merchant in Dark Souls III. Once an assassin for hire, Orbeck is a sorcerer only in name, exiled from the Dragon School of Vinheim after turning Undead, on a journey to explore the depths of sorcery.
Location & Quest-line[]
Orbeck is initially located on the second floor of the ruined keep on the Road of Sacrifices.
The player must have a minimum of 10 Intelligence in order for Orbeck to be retained as a merchant.
Exhausting Orbeck's dialogue will relocate him to Firelink Shrine. Once at Firelink, Orbeck will ask the player to bring him scrolls in order for him to stay. If the player defeats four bosses before bringing Orbeck a scroll, he will depart for the rest of the playthrough.
If Yuria of Londor is present when Orbeck returns to Firelink, she will tell the player to kill Orbeck. The player can either kill Orbeck and loot his Ashes or wait until he leaves to the Grand Archives and loot them from his body there. Either way, give the ashes to Yuria to receive the Morion Blade.
Once the player has purchased four Sorceries, they will receive the Young Dragon Ring.
After purchasing Aural Decoy, Farron Flashsword, Spook, and Pestilent Mercury, the player will receive the Gesture "Silent Ally", along with the Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring.
